Out of the total places available, Universidad de los Andes has places allocated for MLAC Hispanic Studies students so places for non MLAC students may be limited.
Term Dates: Uni Andes works on Southern Hemisphere term dates. They run from July-December then January- May. If students commence studies in July, this would be semester 2 for Uni Andes.
Application Deadlines:
Students should register a minimum of 9 credits and a maximum of 20 credits. Students should follow the minimum requirements of their home university.
Most classes are taught in Spanish and students are required to have Spanish Language to level B2. A certificate will need to be provided at the point of application. If students are taking classes in English they will be required to have a B2 level in English as well as A2 level in Spanish.
Uni Andes offers an intensive Spanish class worth 3 credits for students throughout the academic year. Students are required to submit a placement test to ascertain which group they would be placed into.
Uni Andes does not offer accommodation on or off campus for exchange students. The Student Mobility Office will provide students with options, but students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
Students must have international health insurance with dental and wide health coverage.
Living expenses are between approximately $1.500.000- 2.500.000 Colombian pesos per month (£340-560 per month)
