Application deadline. This information refers to when successful Overseas Exchange applicants must submit further materials to the partner:

  • Fall Semester: March 2 - May 1
  • Spring Semester: 31 August - October 30

Academic Information

Study Load

36 credits per academic year. Information on courses available to exchange students can be found on the Yonsei website.

Requirements / Restrictions

Minimum GPA must be:

  • General: over CGPA 2.7 on a 4.3 (CGPA 2.5 on a 4.0)
  • Law school exchange: 3.0/4.0 or above

Korean Nationals are eligible to apply for their Overseas Exchange at Yonsei University.

The following Faculties are not available to Exchange students:

  • Law
  • Music
  • Pharmacy
  • Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Nursing
  • Any courses offered at the International Songdo Campus

Admission to the following Faculties is limited:

  • Business School - maximum of three courses per semester, available for Business majors only. 

Language Requirements

Yonsei University offers a range of modules in English. Korean language courses are also available. If you are a non native English speaker, you may be asked to provide evidence of language ability.

Accommodation

There is accommodation available in both the SK Global House and the International House, this is a mixture of Yonsei and international students. Both single and double rooms are available. Off-Campus private housing is also an option.

Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) invites students to take courses at one of the world's premier universities in the heart of Seoul, Korea. YISS offers a choice of more than 100 courses during a six-week program taught by both Yonsei and distinguished faculty from prestigious institutions around the globe.
