Part C - Departure

Letter C

This form should be completed within 28 days of the end of your placement. 

What you must do:

The following forms must be submitted within four weeks of ending your placement. You must save any forms with the format: [Surname][FirstName]_[DocumentName].[FileType] 

> Turing Departure Certificate < - Please click on the hyperlink to to download this form. Please ensure you and your host abroad fill it out in full. You must upload the Departure Certificate in the portal below. Please save with the format above format (e.g. BloggsJoe_DepartureCertificate.pdf). 

Document Submission Portal < - Upload your documents this online portal. You will be required to: fill out personal details; details about your placement; and upload your documents.

Notes:

Submission of the form: This form should only be completed as you are leaving or have left your placement. Forms completed more than one week in advance of the final end date cannot be accepted. This form asks for your final placement details. You are required to complete this form for EACH AND EVERY placement you have undertaken. This form and these documents are required to receive your final 30% grant payment. If your placement is shorter than planned, your final Grant amount will be pro-rated accordingly.

Every time you submit your required documents in the portal, the MS Form will thank you for your submission. Your submission will join a queue to be assessed by the Exchanges Team.

Grant amounts: Your final payment will be pro-rated to match the time you spent abroad. E.g. if you anticipated (in Part A) being on-placement for 6 months, but only complete 5 months, 1 week and 1 day, you will only receive funding for 5 months, 1 week and 1 day.

Why do we have to submit Part C documents? This is because Durham is required to report to the Turing Scheme your exact (to the day) start and departure dates. When audited we are required to provide supporting evidence. If you do not submit the Departure documents we will have to invoice you for any grant received as Durham is not permitted to use Turing funding for students that have not met the Turing reporting requirements.
