About Us

The Biophysical Sciences Institute inspires research in the biophysical and biochemical sciences.

Through our interdisciplinary approach we offer new insights into fundamental systems. Examples include our new approaches to studying the behaviour and movement of membranes [Staykova, M. et al. (2018), Nanoscale DOI: 10.1039/C8NR03399D; Sanderson, J.M. et al. (2020) Science Advances DOI:10.1126/sciadv.aaz8598, and the unravelling of the structure and function of key proteins involved in tuberculosis [Blower, T.R. et al. (2020) Science Advances DOI: 10.1126/sciadv.abb6651].
