MA Courses

Durham is developing a strong emphasis on a renewed engagement with contemporary Catholicism. We have a dedicated set of modules which allow students to take a ‘pathway’ in ‘Catholic studies’ within our MA programme. This course focuses on the Catholic theological tradition, within the more general context of Christian theology. For more information, please see the Department of Theology and Religion's webpages on taught postgraduate programmes.

Research Programmes

We offer three different 'pure' research degrees, MA, MLitt, and PhD; and also, two 'hybrid' research degrees which include a taught element, the DThM (Doctor of Theology and Ministry) and the Integrated PhD. More information can be found on the Department's webpages on postgraduate research programmes.
