The Centre for Catholic Studies nurtures an inclusive community of scholars, providing student members with first-class academic supervision as well as social and spiritual support.
This course is completed in person in Durham, either full-time over one year or part-time over two years.
This course is designed to be completed flexibly. There is an annual 2-3 day Residential in Durham, but otherwise the MA is taught at distance. All modules are asynchronous, allowing students to work through the course in different time zones and at times suiting their work, caring, and other obligations.
We offer three different 'pure' research degrees - PhDs, MAs by Research, and MLitts.
Bursaries and scholarships for postgraduate study are offered by the Centre for Catholic Studies (CCS) and other organisations.
