Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) Banner 

When you apply to study at Durham you’ll be asked ability to study on your chosen course. 

UKVI approved Secure English Language Tests (SELT) and providers  

Demonstrating that you meet the required level of English (level B2 in the CEFR scale in all four components) usually means passing a Secure English Language Test (SELT) from a . 

Other evidence 

If you use different evidence of English language ability when you apply to Durham, this will also be stated on your CAS (but you’re not required to provide it when you apply for your visa).

You’re not required to provide evidence of English language ability if:
